Chicken soup is my healing place, a place where I know I will always leave feeling, oh so much better.
I have been receiving acupuncture treatments at Chicken Soup Chinese Medicine for over 20 years and I consider Misha Cohen my primary health provider. She is a gifted healer and has a great, warm bedside manner and an easy laugh.
She left the needles in for about 30 minutes, and when it was time to get up and go, I realized that I totally didn’t want a cigarette! This must be good stuff, because I still don’t want one.
Misha is unparalleled in her field as a healer, scientist and caregiver. I personally have enjoyed hugely improved health as a direct result of her care and have seen first hard the healing of many many people that resulted from her care, attention and knowledge of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the concerns of patients today.
Since 1998, I have seen Misha for different conditions. She worked on me once a week when I was pregnant and has also been treating a condition associated with endometriosis. I have seen other acupuncturists over the years when I wasn’t living in the Bay Area, and Misha has always given me the best care. Her years of experience and knowledge of how to combine eastern with western medicine make her unusually talented.
Great support system in conjunction with medical treatment for AIDS, HCV and other chronic illness. She collaborates with top experts both on the medical side and the holistic side of the spectrum.
Misha is a great acupuncturist. She is very knowledgeable and has a warm manner with patients. I have been recommending her to all my colleagues and friends for over 20 years.
As Misha’s Assistant Director and a Mentored Practitioner, I’ve gotten a privileged insight into how she works as a clinician and a teacher. I’ve seen Misha provide unparalleled care to her patients in an incredibly kind and super-competent manner. I’ve seen patient after patient relax in her presence, knowing they are not only receiving fantastic traditional Chinese medical care, but that they are receiving the best in integrated healthcare through her efforts to team with western physicians - a fact of profound comfort to patients dealing with sometimes frightening diagnoses and discomfiting symptoms.
It was hard to pick only three top attributes for Misha and her practice, Chinese Chicken Soup Medicine. So many apply. I guess for me, “Great Results” is the most important. I went to Chinese Chicken Soup Medicine for acupuncture because of infertility and I would have to say it worked. I now have healthy and beautiful twin girls, thriving at 8 months old. But nearly as important as the result was the experience. Misha’s treatment was truly like the name of her company, comforting like chicken soup. Acupuncture can be scary. I mean, needles! But she has such a relaxed confidence that you quickly forget the needles and settle in for an hour of sheer relaxation.
